The program has been redeveloped for the .NET environment with a number of enhancements:- - Smart memory of recent options used - Perform several operations on a map without saving and reloading - One-level Undo - Help files for every screen - just use F1 - Cross-hair pointer when viewing or calibrating; drag map with the mouse - Calibrate by corner coordinates - Load track overlays as GPX - Darken or lighten images - Invoke as a command to convert calibrations, create Garmin Custom maps or reproject without the GUI ( batch mode) Will read and write MAP (Ozi), JPR (Memory-map, Fugawi), GMI (GPSTuner), MCD (GPSMAPOS, GPSGO), CAL (Pathaway,TTQV), TFW (Mapyx/Quo), IMP(CompeGPS), BSB/KAP(Marine Charts), Google Earth overlays as KML, KMZ. Will also read GUX (GPSU), TAB (MAPINFO),WCI chart calibration and OKM (OKmaps) . Will invoke MrSIDDecode to decode MrSID files, will invoke FWTools to read GeoTiff and GDAL_Translate for ECW files and others. Will handle different input datums but writes WGS84. There is a description of things it can do here and more technical information in the help file. The package contains a full set of datums from GPSU (www.gpsu.co.uk) For drawing routes and tracks and transferring data to and from a GPS device OKMap may do what you need. Note that this program only converts calibration files that are held alongside image files - it will not convert maps in a proprietory format such as Memory-map's .qct files : but GDAL_Translate may do what you want.
