Free Garmin maps for the Peak District Challenge If you are entering the Peak District Challenge and have a handheld Garmin device - Montana, Oregon, etc - that can accept maps then a free map is available. The map is based on Ordnance Survey mapping and has a high level of detail including rock features and most buildings. Download the file from here and unzip it. Follow the instructions in the readme.txt file. You can use the map in Garmin's Basecamp software and use Basecamp to install it on your Garmin Device. If your device has the ability to install maps on MicroSD card and is not a specialist marine or Satnav device it will probably accept the map. I recommend you install it to a blank MicroSD card to avoid any conflict with other maps.
